The Project:
ArLand has worked on a variety of market studies, surveys, and other projects in urban and rural downtowns in the Denver metro area including: Denver, Arvada, Englewood, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Loveland, and Longmont. It has also worked in small Colorado towns such as Jamestown and Lamar, as well as small downtowns in Kansas, South Dakota and New Mexico. At times, the studies were conducted in the context of downtown area plans, subarea plans, or Comprehensive Plans.
Our Role:
ArLand’s work focused on the market for potential future uses, financial feasibility, transportation accessibility, and the role that downtown has within the community. Clients have either been municipalities or downtown organizations, including Main Street organizations. In addition to market studies, the analysis typically included a section outlining implementation recommendations, roles of cities and downtown organizations, and public financing mechanisms.
